What does EAM stand for?
EAM stands for External Asset Manager. As an EAM, we manage our clients’ assets independently of the custodian bank where the assets are held.
What distinguishes Wenzinger & Tschan Finanz AG from other asset managers?
For us, asset management is not just a service it is a passion. Our recognized expertise has been acknowledged by BILANZ, and our strategies demonstrate a proven above-average performance. You benefit from a dedicated, dynamic team that supports you over the long term and provides competent guidance in all stages of life.
Why was Wenzinger & Tschan Finanz AG not awarded by BILANZ before 2025?
BILANZ conducts an annual ranking in the field of asset management. In 2025, we participated for the first time and were immediately recognized. We did not participate in the 60-month evaluation.
What is the minimum investment amount required for a mandate, and why?
Our investment strategy is primarily based on carefully selected direct investments. To ensure adequate diversification and efficient implementation at the quality level we aim to deliver, a minimum investment of CHF 500,000 is required. Below this amount, our strategy cannot be implemented optimally.
Can I open a mandate without traveling to Switzerland?
Yes, collaboration is easily possible without being physically present in Switzerland.
Who handles the administrative process when opening a mandate?
We take care of all administrative steps related to opening your mandate. We meet personally to review and sign the documentation and handle all formalities for you.
How often will we communicate during the mandate?
The intensity of communication is entirely up to you. Together, we determine how regularly and in what format you would like to stay in contact with us.
Can the asset manager withdraw money from my account?
No. Our activities are based on an EAM power of attorney. This authorizes us solely to make investment decisions within the agreed mandate and to debit our contractually agreed management fee. No other withdrawals are possible.
How is the fee structured?
On your behalf, we negotiate an all-in fee with one of our partner banks. In addition, we charge our contractually agreed asset management fee. All costs are disclosed transparently.

Wenzinger & Tschan Finanz AG was founded in 2002.
What do you mean by the “financial boutique system”?
Our financial boutique system has evolved organically over the years and continues to expand. Our goal is to offer clients comprehensive solutions from a single source. Not all services are provided in-house; we deliberately collaborate with a selected network of specialized partners to ensure the highest quality standards.
What happens if my life situation changes and I require regular withdrawals?
We naturally take changes in your life situation into account. Together, we review the new circumstances and adjust the mandate accordingly. If a mandate is no longer appropriate, we address this transparently and work with you to find a suitable solution.
Do you handle my tax matters?
Yes. For clients domiciled in Switzerland, we prepare the annual tax return and represent you before the relevant authorities.
Do you assist with buying or selling real estate?
Yes, we provide comprehensive advice in real estate transactions and organize the entire buying or selling process from A to Z, including assistance with property gains tax and all necessary formalities.
Do you manage pension fund assets?
As long as your assets remain within a pension fund or vested benefits account, we are not permitted to manage them. Once the funds are paid out (e.g., upon retirement), we would be pleased to offer you a mandate tailored to your individual needs.
What happens to my mandate in the event of death?
In the event of death, we continue the mandate in accordance with the contractual agreements. We maintain close contact with the executor or heirs and implement the instructions received.
Do you handle estate planning?
Yes, we support you in estate planning, act as executor if required, assist in drafting wills, and ensure that your assets are structured according to your wishes.

Yes, we prepare and securely store your advance healthcare directive and other precautionary documents.
How long does it take to terminate a mandate?
The mandate may be terminated by either party at any time without notice.
How long does it take to liquidate a mandate?
We invest exclusively in liquid assets. Therefore, your assets are available within a very short period of time.
